Player News & Vacancies

Our versatile cornet player William (Billy) Griffiths has announced his retirement from full time banding. Billy has been enormously helpful during the band's rebuilding program, playing at different times Bb cornet, Eb soprano cornet and flugel horn. The band wish him well, and Billy plans to keep his 'lip' in and may be called on when needed!

We currently have vacancies for a BBb Bass, a Back Row Cornet player, and a percussionist.

Congratulations to Alan Gibbs and the band on a fantastic performance at the Welsh Regional finals in Swansea on Saturday March 16th. We received many, many plaudits from people in the hall, and it was great to see 4barsrest pick us as their winners at the end of the contest. On this occasion the adjudicator didn't agree, but our congratulations go to the winners Severn Tunnel, and we look forward to the rest of the contest season with relish!
